About Us

We're a group of people interested in establishing a cooperative grocery store in or near Altadena, CA. Our first meeting was held in March of 2008. Since then we've been gathering at least monthly, lately every week, to share what we've learned and to build our Founding Team. (If you're interested in helping, please see our Volunteer page.) After a year and a half of research and community feedback, we are currently engaged in a membership drive to raise capital.

This site is meant as a way to bring the greater Altadena community into the process. Here we post progress notes and hope to receive comments from those of you interested in bringing a co-op to our area.
